Our Director, Dr. Natalia Chávez
Dr. Chávez graduated from Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador in 2003.
She undertook further studies in Periodontics at her alma mater. During that time, she also worked as professor teaching undergraduate and post graduate courses in periodontics.
While studying Implantology in 2007, she met Dr Lorenzana, where her dedication, professionalism, and uncompromising qualities allowed her to become part of the prestigious group of professionals that composed Lorenzana & Dental Associates.
Dr. Chavez is currently the Director of Prostho Implants Dental Associates. She has more than 20 years of experience in the dental field.

Our Founder, Dr. Rafael Lorenzana
Dr. Lorenzana was in practice since 1974. Until 1979, his dental office was dedicated to general practice with a special focus in Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics.
At the beginning of 1979, he went to the United States to pursue his training in Prosthodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and later at The Medical University of South Carolina.
In 1982, Dr. Lorenzana was appointed as Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry, a position he held for six years. He achieved a second dental degree as a Doctor in Dental Surgery at Baylor College and opened a private practice of Prosthodontics for seven years in the prestigious Highland Park - Dallas area.
In the late 80’s, he obtained the most prestigious diploma from The American Board of Prothodontists, which makes him an expert in Prosthodontics in the United States of America.
Dr. Lorenzana’s research has been published in many well-recognized worldwide journals, and he has also participated as a speaker in different conferences worldwide regarding medical tourism.
In 1992, he decided to return to El Salvador and open his own dental facility, forming Lorenzana & Dental Associates.
With his passing several years ago, the dental practice was renamed to Prostho Implants Dental Association and his legacy regarding current technologies is now carried on by Dr. Chávez.
